Bangalore Metro Rail Project Phase 1 consisted of elevated as well as underground corridors (East – West corridor and North - South Corridor) covering a total length of 42.3 km, including procurement, construction and commissioning of double line electrified tracks with all its appurtenances, rolling stock including all maintenance and operational facilities.

The Phase-2 will support in expanding the metro railway network in the city of Bengaluru. It will develop a transit-oriented development framework alongside the metro corridors as well as a multimodal integration. It will also improve the institutional capacity of line agencies for planning and implementation of sustainable urban transport, transit-oriented development, and multimodal integration in a coordinated manner.
The consultancy services being provided are for implementation of Reach-6, Phase-2A and Phase-2B. The project relates to elevated section of 66.2 kms comprising of Reach 6A: Gottigere to Tavarakere 8 km, Phase-2A ORR Line: CSB Junction to K.R. Puram 19.8 km, Phase-2B, Airport Line: K.R Puram-KIA Terminal 38.4 km. as well as underground section of 13.5 kms Reach 6B:Tavarakere to Nagavara.
